"Smiles by Payet is like play­ing T-ball where adults go to be kids and every­one is a win­ner. Firstly, I should say they won’t read your horo­scope before and after your den­tal clean­ing. But what they will do is out of this world. Let me start off to say I’m a big chicken when it came to my den­tal care. You can’t use the excuse that cave­men got by with­out it why couldn’t I? I had severe social anx­i­ety for 25+ years which I blame mostly on bad den­tal appear­ance. To add fuel to my pho­bia, a few rough nights of drink­ing, minus a bot­tle opener, chipped my two front teeth. Not a pretty sight. Being a shy, ultra den­tal noob, I wanted a down to earth den­tist that I could feel com­fort­able with. With the power of the inter­net and Google I stum­bled upon sev­eral impres­sive Dr. Payet’s reviews from clients and took a gam­ble. With my ini­tial meet­ing, Dr. Payet came across as some­one I’ve known for a long time. He was calm, patient, and extremely knowl­edge­able. He took time to pro­vide detail con­sul­ta­tion on my options after under­stand­ing my needs. His staff (Adri­enne, Sam, Rosie, Marie) were extremely per­son­able which eased my fear all with­out Val­ium. So after 7 months (in no par­tic­u­lar order) of LANAP, 4 wis­dom teeth, 2 chipped teeth, fill­ings, 6 months smile braces, and cos­metic whiten­ing am I happy with the results? Hell yeah. I would do it all over again with­out hes­i­ta­tion. So, I gained a great smile and lost years of social anx­i­ety. That in my opin­ion is price­less.""Dr. Payet changed my life. Other than a great experience with my normal cleaning, he suggested another type of night guard that might help with my headaches. I haven't had a migraine in 8 months now, thanks to him! I would recommend him and his staff to anyone in the area. Thanks again!"

"As a child I had braces, but back in those days, braces were like today’s retain­ers. I lost mine, and my mother said that she didn’t have the money for another set. I went through life accept­ing my crooked, buck teeth, and would just cover my mouth when I was talk­ing to peo­ple, and would not smile much. Last year, I saw an adver­tise­ment in our local paper, and men­tioned to my hus­band that I would like to go for the free con­sul­ta­tion. I joked with Dr. Payet about even being able to do some­thing with these teeth after 54 years. He said that I could do the six month braces, and I jumped at the chance, but was wor­ried about the cost. Once the staff dis­cussed the cost and also con­tacted my insur­ance, I was quick to accept the offer and see if Dr. Payet could actu­ally do some­thing for my smile. I am happy to say that I am prob­a­bly one of his hap­pi­est patients. I love my smile and look now. Dr. Payet and his staff are the best. "The hygenist was awe­some! I have very sen­si­tive teeth and asked her to make sure that the water got squirted in the mid­dle of my mouth. Not only did she remem­ber but she was empa­thetic of my fear of going to the den­tist. She was gen­tle when going around my gum lines. Dr Payet was great as well! I didn’t feel like he was try­ing to get me to do a bunch of stuff in my mouth just so he could make a buck like some den­tist offices. I would highly rec­om­mend this prac­tice."

"Dr. Payet and his staff were won­der­ful as always! They made me feel com­fo­rat­able and apart of the Smiles fam­ily. I’m all too sad that I won’t get to see them for another 6 months as we have seen each other at least once a week for the 4 weeks! =) Find­ing Dr. Payet’s office has been a life chang­ing expe­ri­ence and has com­pletely changed how I feel about vis­it­ing the den­tist. He is the most humane and gen­tle doc­tor I have ever encoun­tered. I love the fact that I can go to Dr. Payet for all of my dental work -- He's a Periodontist, Orthodontist, Oral Surgeon and Family Dentist in one!! His staff is wonderful and treats you like royalty. They go to great lengths to accommodate your needs. Going to the Dentist is a treat!

I recently moved to Charlotte and found myself in need of a Dentist due to a cap falling off in the front of my mouth. I chose an implant and also needed three extractions. I felt very comfortable with my surroundings! Netbook used to fill out information and TV's in every room! I also came to find out the Dr Payet made his own web site and is a photographer. Would recommend this dentist to ANYONE!

I have been going to Dr. Payet since I moved to Charlotte over 10 years ago. He is always professional and is up to date on the latest technology. He has taken care of my entire family and I have referred him to all my firends. They have a great dental plan for those who do not have insurance and are always looking at ways to help me save money. The staff is always friendly and very detail oriented. My little girls love going to the dentist as the office is very child friendly and they get to watch tv while their teeth are cleaned. The toy box is a big hit afterwards too!
