Before-After Pictures

As I have men­tioned before, you can count on one very impor­tant point when look­ing at the pic­tures here: Almost every sin­gle photo shown is of one of our patients, and of den­tal work that we actu­ally per­formed. The only excep­tions?  I may show some pho­tos of work done by the spe­cial­ists with whom I work, if it is a pro­ce­dure that I don’t do myself. Don’t worry, though — those will be clearly marked to avoid con­fu­sion. 

Den­tal Dig­i­tal Pho­tog­ra­phy for Bet­ter Under­stand­ing Your Teeth

Why do we use dig­i­tal pho­tog­ra­phy so exten­sively?  Well, if you don’t mind me “toot­ing my own horn” just a lit­tle, part of the rea­son is that I am a pho­tog­ra­pher, too.  It is my pas­sion (my wife actu­ally refers to my Canon 7D DSLR as my “mis­tress.”  LOL)  Over the last few years, I have even become a rec­og­nized “expert” in den­tal pho­tog­ra­phy, and in 2011 will be start­ing to lec­ture on it nationally.

There are 2 main rea­sons we use den­tal pho­tog­ra­phy at Smiles by Payet Dentistry:

1. To show you what your own den­tal con­di­tion it is, so you can see the things we see and bet­ter under­stand why we are rec­om­mend­ing treat­ment, and
2. To “show off!”  Seriously.….we want you to actu­ally see the qual­ity of work that we pro­vide, not what some­one else can do, because we are proud of our quality.

I love using pho­tog­ra­phy to com­mu­ni­cate just what is pos­si­ble today with mod­ern den­tal tech­nol­ogy and tech­niques.  As they say, “A pic­ture is worth a thou­sand words!”  How true it is.  And here you can see a range of pic­tures, every one of them taken by me of our own patients, of all kinds of dif­fer­ent pro­ce­dures, from den­tal porce­lain veneers to 6MonthSmiles Clear Adult Braces, to fill­ings and CEREC crowns or bridges.  Please feel free to rate, com­ment, and share these.
