As I have mentioned before, you can count on one very important point when looking at the pictures here: Almost every single photo shown is of one of our patients, and of dental work that we actually performed. The only exceptions? I may show some photos of work done by the specialists with whom I work, if it is a procedure that I don’t do myself. Don’t worry, though – those will be clearly marked to avoid confusion.
Dental Digital Photography for Better Understanding Your Teeth
Why do we use digital photography so extensively? Well, if you don’t mind me “tooting my own horn” just a little, part of the reason is that I am a photographer, too. It is my passion (my wife actually refers to my Canon 7D DSLR as my “mistress.” LOL) Over the last few years, I have even become a recognized “expert” in dental photography, and in 2011 will be starting to lecture on it nationally.
There are 2 main reasons we use dental photography at Smiles by Payet Dentistry:
- To show you what your own dental condition it is, so you can see the things we see and better understand why we are recommending treatment, and
- To “show off!” Seriously…..we want you to actually see the quality of work that we provide, not what someone else can do, because we are proud of our quality.
I love using photography to communicate just what is possible today with modern dental technology and techniques. As they say, “A picture is worth a thousand words!” How true it is. And here you can see a range of pictures, every one of them taken by me of our own patients, of all kinds of different procedures, from dental porcelain veneers to 6MonthSmiles Clear Adult Braces, to fillings and CEREC crowns or bridges. Please feel free to rate, comment, and share these.
